Costa Rica – Birds, Wildlife, Flora And Scenery
4th March 2014
John Buckingham
Costa Rica is a tiny country big in scenic beauty and wildlife diversity. Twenty five percent of the country is protected as National Parks and impressive nature reserves incorporating a huge variety of wildlife habitats which we visit whilst travelling on Pacific and Caribbean shores, crossing mountains and volcanoes and exploring huge rain and mist forests, marshes and paramo. Rich wildlife communities include brilliant birds, colourful flowers, dynamic insects and fascinating mammals and we will look at toucans, motmots, quetzals, morphos, agoutis, coatis, orchids and bromeliads and many more.
