Mike's trip necessitated 6 flights just to get to the starting point. Eighteen months of training culminated in a group of 12 men setting off from Resolute Bay in Canada's Nunavut Province in April this year. 27 gruelling days later they reached the Magnetic North Pole.

Mike will share with you the realities and difficulties of living in such challenging environments, the kit that was needed, the good and the bad days and why only eleven men were on the flight home!
