Peter Crofts is a volunteer organiser and leader of cycling tours for the Cyclists Touring Club and has toured with groups in 47 countries worldwide.
One of his favourite trips is a tour of Peru and Bolivia, last visited in 2012.
The talk is in two parts – first spending time in the Inca region around Cusco in Peru. Then after a spectacular train journey south over La Raya Pass at 14,000ft to Puno on Lake Titicaca, continues via the Altiplano to La Paz in Bolivia. It is a stunning route, colourful and scenic throughout.
His talk will illustrate his route, taken with 15 cyclists of the CTC.
(This is a change to Peter's originally scheduled talk on the South American Lake District).
