Mountaineering introduced David to exciting landscapes formed by volcanoes. Wanting to learn more he studied geology at university and embarked on an appreciation of volcanoes around the world, learning that they are economically and socially important as well as endlessly fascinating and awe inspiring. Surprisingly, climate change could affect their activity too.
