Kyrgyzstan Snow Leopards - Ben Rees
A trip made in 2023 to the Tien Shan mountains in Kyrgyzstan, to look for Snow Leopards.
Odyssey around Europe - Peter Morgan
The Grand European Tour: in 2017 Peter and Maggie Morgan retired, bought a motorhome, rented out their house and embarked on an odyssey around Europe. They returned 18 months, 23,000 miles and 24 countries later, having been north into the Arctic Circle, west to Cape Finisterre, east to Montenegro and to the southern tip of Sicily. Along the way they experienced incredible generosity, high adventure, and an all-too-close encounter with a moose.
Panama - Robert Mansfield
A short talk based on a visit made in 2024, including a brief history
and geography of Panama, the old City and the new, and of course the
canal. Also a day trip to the north coast and Portobello, bird watching
at two different areas; Soberania National Park, and in the Valle de
Anton.
Walking and Wildlife in Madagascar - Jenny Allan
The talk based on a visit in 2018 will show highlights of trekking through the spectacular landscapes of Isalo and Andringitra National Parks, dawn views from Peak Boby (2nd highest peak in Madagascar), a walk through the rainforest of Ranomafana and unique wildlife spotting, especially the Indri, Indri (the largest lemur only found in Andasibe).
