An 800-mile journey of great contrasts, north from Atlanta, Georgia along America’s eastern shores. Echoes of early colonial settlements, the tragic Civil War, slavery and the Confederacy, plus the architectural heritage and splendours of the major northern cities concluding at ‘Ground Zero’, New York.

Paul is no stranger to the Club, having given seven previous talks from his travels to over seventy countries. His professional background was 34 years in banking and a similar period in the Royal Corps of Signals, Territorial Army. He is a Freeman of the City of London, Vice Chairman of the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway Society and President of the Banstead and District Club for the Blind.
