More Adventures in the Wild
16th December 2025
John Beatty

John’s adventures will include: hunting for dinosaur bones and snow leopards in Mongolia; secret churches of Ethiopia; reflections from Greenland’s West Coast; the Sami of Arctic Norway; helicopter adventures; totemic icons of the Pacific North-West; latest lava eruptions in Iceland; and discoveries in Floreana; Grand Canyon wanderings, plus many more.
The aim of this presentation is to show the everyday, visible motions and designs of the earth. It is a personal selection of images and stories that John hopes will lead and inspire others to see more clearly, to learn more, and to care more for this fragile planet.
John Beatty has adventured across 38 countries for the past 43 years always returning with stories of experiences of a world few have encountered. He has enthralled audiences at international film festivals with his multimedia presentations receiving accolades from the media, the public and from leading brands in the photographic industry. His photographs have an intense quality, drawing his audience into a closer connection to the wild places of the earth. His respect and feelings for the nature, its creatures, its plant kingdoms, indigenous peoples and remnants of extraordinary civilizations of the world, are reflected in his conversation and enthusiasm to communicate.
“To engage with the situation fully, to be absorbed by the variety in unfamiliar cultures, to wonder at the historical reference in the land, to be fearless, minimalist and sufficient according to the resources around you, this is real travel.” – John Beatty.
